If your company is anything like Raytheon, your users have gone metrics crazy. Gone are the years of detailed reporting and replicating those R/3 transactions into SAP NetWeaver BW.  Today, users are into dashboards, scorecards, trends, and predictive analysis. And Google has set the performance standard very high.

So, which calculation tool should you use to calculate and store the metric data to quickly render it in BEx, SAP BusinessObjects, or any other tool?  In this case study, I discuss the pros and cons of four methods available today to accomplish this daunting task. I also include a decision tree to help you choose the best method.
