How to Execute SAP Bank Analyzer ETL Automation

Follow the steps to implement a method to automatically execute the SAP Bank Analyzer Data Load Layer process chains.
SAP Bank Analyzer is an SAP financial service module that contains several layers used for extracting and analyzing bank data.

A kernel component of SAP Bank Analyzer is the Data Load Layer. It loads bank data from the Source Data Layer to the Results Data Layer. The data-loading processes are built in an SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (BW) process chain. A process chain contains many process steps. They are linked and look like a chain. Any step failure in a process chain usually needs operator intervention to resume the execution. I describe a method to automatically execute the Data Load Layer process chains based on a successful implementation at Canada ABT bank. The method simulates a three-step process:

  1. Save the error logs if a step failure occurs. A step failure means that the bank received customer data with data range, format, or syntax errors that the system detected and cannot be automatically corrected.
  2. Rerun the failure steps
  3. Continue the execution of throughout the remainder of the process chain

I provide an ABAP program for writing error information into an SAP table and an ABAP program to read the error log information.
