Compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act has prompted many organizations to analyze their existing internal travel and expenses controls to reduce risk. Learn how the latest version of mySAP ERP Travel Management automates business processes for travel policy enforcement and streamlines time-consuming administrative tasks.
Key Concept
MySAP ERP Travel Management supports the standard SAP Business Workflow approval procedures. You can easily change, adapt, or enhance standard workflow templates to accommodate specific business processes such as pretrip approval authorization using the options provided by the SAP Business Workflow Builder tool. You can also use it to enhance the audit process and for fraud prevention by triggering a workflow to an auditor.

mySAP ERP Travel Management monitors travel practices from booking through payment to ensure that company policies are enforced. Made up of the SAP Travel Planning and SAP Travel Expense components, the full suite includes advances, pretrip approval, online booking, and expense reporting. Since it is integrated with SAP Business Workflow, you can adapt mySAP ERP Travel Management to your own business processes.

SAP has enhanced mySAP ERP Travel Management significantly since Release 4.7, adding an itemization tool to support the breakdown of a receipt into multiple expense types, support for multiple credit card usage, credit card clearing in the offline mode, and the Galileo/Apollo Global Distribution System (GDS) engine for online booking. In mySAP ERP 2004 (ECC 5.0) the full suite user interface has been redesigned for greater ease of use. The mySAP ERP 2004 release also includes the Sabre GDS engine.

If you are not already using mySAP ERP Travel Management, then I’ll show you how to put it to work for you. I’ll explain what infotypes you need to implement it and then give you some best practices. First, let me give you an overview of the main mySAP ERP Travel Management components.
