Many BusinessObjects backup plans focus on preserving enterprise-level content (e.g., reports, dashboards, and workspaces) because if lost, this information is hard, if not impossible, to replace.There are a few additional infrastructure items that administrators should save on a regular basis for exactly the same reason. I discuss two of these often-forgotten items: lifecycle management repositories and server settings. I include instructions for all versions of BusinessObjects from XI 3.1 on for the convenience of administrators not on the latest release.
