Financials –

SAP S/4HANA simplifies the business architecture by integrating the core SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) functionalities into SAP S/4HANA and providing the SAP Fiori user interface equipped with people-centric roles and cockpits. With this new digital core in SAP S/4HANA, all the core ECC applications are interconnected, resulting in the access and use of granular level data from anywhere in the organization in real time without any data duplication or data loss. SAP S/4HANA provides a reduced data footprint, combined online analytic processing (OLAP) and online transactional processing (OLTP) processing, and real-time faster analysis and reporting. Each year SAP releases new versions for the SAP S/4HANA on-premise edition, with the latest being SAP S/4HANA 1709. Gaurav Agarwal outlines how an IT team can do a preliminary analysis in-house using standard SAP tools. The scenario Gaurav Agarwal describes is relevant for companies that want to convert their existing ECC system to SAP S/4HANA.
