Learn how the University of Tennessee expedited the testing process for applying support packs and BSI tax update bulletins (TUBs) and/or BSI TaxFactory upgrades to its on-premise environment.

As an SAP ERP HCM customer, the University of Tennessee routinely applies support packs and BSI tax update bulletins (TUBs) and/or BSI TaxFactory upgrades to its on-premise environment. These support packs and upgrades are a series of changes to the SAP system, and often raise significant testing and compatibility issues that need to be resolved. Attend this session to:

  • Understand how the University expedited the testing process, ensuring that the employee record is not impacted each time an update is applied to the system — thereby saving time and money otherwise spent in reconciling records
  • Step through the University’s actual process which includes copying active monthly employee data from production client to quality assurance client and applying the upgrades before re-executing payroll and posting to accounting in QA client
  • Learn how automating the process enables the University to test the upgrades on the whole population and resolve the issues, if any, in a couple of days – helping cut down time and cost – compared to the previous process which would take up to 2 months to test, and only on a sample of 500 employees
