Quick Tip: Analyze Time Types Using Standard SAP Report RPT55400

Learn to use a little-known report that allows users to view the contents of the attendance or absence type configuration tables in display mode. Explore the benefits this report affords to non-technical users by allowing them to generate lists of available time types on their own.

Users often request updated lists of available time types for a particular employee population or for the whole corporation. Traditionally, this request requires users to contact a technical SAP resource to compile such a list. The technical resource would then use a transaction (such as SE16N [general table display]) to access the data directly from the attendance or absence configuration table (table T554S). Although this process is not particularly complex from a technical standpoint, a faster and more efficient way to manage this requirement is to empower non-technical users to generate their own lists.
