What’s the Difference Between Archiving and Deleting Data?

Use this quick tip to help you determine whether to delete or archive your payroll data. Archiving is the process of copying data, storing the copied data, and deleting the original data from the online database. There’s no reason to shy away from archiving payroll data. The process is the same as for other data in other modules.

Data archiving is the only SAP-supported way of moving data out of an SAP system.
